Attendance/Enrichment Specialist - Secretary III

General Description
Under the supervision of licensed staff, the Specialist works to increase student attendance and involvement at Lincoln Middle School. Duties include reviewing student attendance data, contacting parents and students to provide support, communicating frequently with school staff, identifying students with academic deficiencies, and documenting these efforts.
In addition, Specialist will coordinate/manage after-school program of academic and enrichment clubs focused on Career and Technical Education (CTE).
This specialist must communicate effectively with a variety of groups both in and out of the school setting. Duties may also include student supervision, teaching in class settings, small groups or 1:1 instruction.
Essential Functions

Extensive collaboration with staff members at Lincoln Middle School, parents, and community groups

Plan, organize and coordinate programs for students that support their attendance and academic success

Recruit partnerships for after-school opportunities for students in both academic and enrichment exeriences, with a focus on CTE

Frequently review data to identify student needs and possible successful supports

Extensive computerized organization, documentation and reporting requirements
Minimum Qualifications

Excellent communication and compassion with students, parents, staff, and community members

Knowledge/experience with motivating students

Ability to be flexible and adjust quickly to differing needs

Technical knowledge of basic email, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs, as well as the ability to
learn new computer systems

Previous experience in and preference for working with at-risk students
Education
AA degree or higher preferred
Salary
Based on experience and in accordance with the OSEA Union Contract classified salary schedule.
